From Humble Beginnings…

Lothlorien was started in 1973 in the backyard of a home in Linksfield Johannesburg with a manual baling press.  After moving to Booysens Reserve where the yard was destroyed by a fire, Lothlorien moved to Tulisa Park where it operated as a hawker dealer similar to the customers of our current depots. In 1975, property was acquired in Roodekop where most of the older staff joined as teenagers and young adults, those faces we still see today. Lothlorien was able to gain market share by providing service excellence. Our family business was competeing with the major players.

In 1990 Lothlorien split into two divisions, Lothlorien Waste Paper for the collection and baling of waste paper, and the other is Lothlorien paper Mills.

On the 17th October 2014 Lothlorien Waste Paper changed its name to Lothlorien Recycling in

Line with the Company ambition of offering a total Recycling/Waste Management solution to

Our customers. Early in 2015 Lothlorien Waste was born. Exciting times for Lothlorien as the Journey into total waste began.

Today Lothlorien is a trusted name in industry having worked 44 years in the Recycling Industry.  Lothlorien employs 200 staff members and empowers thousands more through trade at any of our sites in and around Gauteng.  We adapt constantly and are proud to say we compete strongly in the industry, offering all waste management and recycling services. A leading service provider boasting a fleet of 40 vehicles, 11 buy back centres, 5 baling sites across Gauteng and Mpumalanga that employ state of the art technology.
